STROBON v2 Navigation Light

  • £6.49
    Unit price per
Tax included.

This product is compatible with the latest FAA and CAA anti-collision light regulations for drones. It is visible from at least 3 miles at night.

STROBON lights have long been among the most powerful navigation lights on the model aircraft market.

Now featuring 5 configurable light patterns:

  1. Strobe: Classic Strobon V1 effect—three rapid xenon-style flashes.
  2. Blink: Simulates belly or tail lights with continuous ON/OFF pulses.
  3. Heartbeat: Smooth ramp-up and ramp-down cycle like a beacon.
  4. Rotating Beacon: Simulates a rolling light with ramp up/flash/ramp down/off.
  5. Static: Constant light—ideal for landing or wing-tip visibility.

🔌 Working Modes

  • RC Controlled Mode:
Connect to any spare RC channel to toggle the light remotely. Multiple Strobons can be synced on the same channel.
  • Standalone Mode:
Directly power the unit from a 3.5–6V battery. It will operate continuously in the selected mode.

🎨 Colour Selection

Different LED colours have varying visibility and energy efficiency due to human eye limitations and LED chemistry. Based on long-term use:

WHITE Highest visibility and efficiency
YELLOW Comparable to white with improved mist penetration
RED Second-best visibility, same efficiency as white. Ideal for warning
GREEN Third in visibility. Ideal for RED/GREEN left-right navigation pairing
BLUE Lowest visibility and efficiency. Recommended only for special applications
IR 850nm Visible to night vision devices and some night-mode cameras
IR 940nm Only visible to night vision devices. Completely invisible to the naked eye

Bottom line: White and Red are best for visibility. Green is good for orientation. Blue is for niche uses.
